Shooting locations

Location: A friends bedroom
We will be using a friends bedroom for scenes where the protagonist is able to be herself and reveal her inner feelings privately. The bedroom will help give the audience an insight on her personality as her bedroom will help reflect it. The pink theme in the bedroom reinforces her feminity and attempt to remain perfect. We will put alternative rock music posters on the wall so they wll clash against the pink walls to represent the mutltiple personalities of the protagonist. The mirror and dressing table will be in use for our video as the audience can see what the protagonist is like at home and what is on her mind. The key themes in our music video are image orientation and bullying. The bedroom scene will help us focus on these as it will consist of both bullying via text and the protagonist trying to perfectify her appearance.

Location: Sixth form washroom
We will be using the sixth form washroom for scenes that portray the protagonist undergoing feelings of lonliness. A washroom is a private place, so the protagonist is able display their feelings without being concerned about his/her surrounding. The mirrors in the washroom and sink will highlight the idea of the protagonist's image orientation reinforced by her surroundings.
The fact that the bathroom is for females enables us to use scenes that consist of females only. We can explore ideas of bullying that involves females only, using this location.

Location: Brick Lane
We will be using a side street in Brick Lane for the outdoor scenes.
The Mise-en-scene contributes to the atmosphere created through the song.
The graffiti on the walls and tatty posters give the area a rough look reflecting the feelings of the protagonist. The untidiness of the surroundings also contribute to 'abandoned' look of the location again, reflecting the main characters thoughts and feelings.

Location: School corridor
We will be using this location for the bullying scenes that occur in school.
The corridor is very narrow and will help emphasise on how crowded the place is when the protagonist is being bullied. We could also make use of the lockers to add to the typical 'American high school' look.

Location: School dance studio
We will be using this location for the performance scenes as it consists of lighting and sound equipment, that we will need for the performance. Furthermore, it consists of musical instruments and is spacious with mirrors enabling the performance to look polished.
