Digipak Draft

I feel that my Digipak front has a suitable image as it has been edited well via Photoshop. The original picture I took was more naturalistic however, here I have made changes with the contrast and brightness as well as adding drastic artistic make-up on Kim to make her look like a doll or an abstract image.

However, I feel that there is plenty of room for improvements.
I will improve the front of my Digipak in many ways;
  1. The photo quality should be better as it looks rough
  2. The band name should use a unique font that may be their trademark font so the target audience recognise them easily
  3. The title is directly underneath and is too dark against the background
  4. Both fonts look unprofessional as they are just plain white or red consisting of simple formal text. This is unaesthetic as the band and genre should be associated with a more exciting font style and format.
  5. The parental advisory logo is disproportionate against the size of the cover
My CD design suits my target audience and the theme of the song however I need to improve many aspects;
1. Firstly, I will change the background from the CD image as both designs blend in
making it uninteresting for my target market.
2. Furthermore, I will improve my font for my Digipak and magazine advert as it does not reflect my genre or artist well.
3. Lastly I will arrange the text differently on the CD with varied sizes to place
importance upon some information.

The other side (back) of my Digipak should consist of tracks, according to my research.
However, The improvements I would like to make are many;
1. I must change the image as the quality isn't clear enough and because the track is based on the lead singers experiences and is personal I believe I should take an image based on a one-shot.
2. Although, the font is clear to read, i believe it should be one that represents that band or the genre.
3. Other than the bar code, I need to add the record label, website, and CD production information.

This is a mid page within my Digipak with a simple image giving the viewer more information on and a greater insight on the music video.
1. Although, this is well edited and grey hues represent the past, i believe I can provide a more meaningful picture within the Digipak with more advanced editing.
2. Furthermore, the font used above is clear to read but does not reflect the genre of music.
3. Because this page consists of just an image and simple text, I will need a more interesting image so it can speak for the music it promotes.
